Salecan CG90-INT beta-glucan for personal care
iTra supplies Salecan CG90-INT, a water-soluble extracellular beta-glucan produced by microbial fermentation of Agrobacterium sp. ZX09. The TDS describes the strain as non-GMO and non-pathogenic. This fermentation-derived ingredient is distinct from yeast- or oat-derived beta-glucans.

Applications and evaluation
Evaluate in serums, toners, masks, creams and lotions, as well as hair-care and oral-care formulations. Supplier documentation proposes moisturizing and skin-barrier-support applications. Cell-assay findings in the presentation are manufacturer internal data and do not establish clinical outcomes for a finished formulation. Request the underlying reports and evaluate performance in your own formula.
Recommended use level and incorporation
- Suggested use level: 0.03–0.5% based on CG90-INT powder.
- Add in the water phase or cool-down phase. Sprinkle gradually into water with stirring to reduce clumping.
- The application guide suggests water at 45–80 °C to facilitate dissolution. Adapt mixing and processing to the actual formulation and scale.
- The TDS states stability up to 90 °C and within pH 3–10; avoid pH below 3. Verify compatibility and stability in the finished formulation.
Storage and handling
Store in original unopened packaging at 10–30 °C in clean, cool and dry conditions, away from heat, direct sunlight and strong odors. Stated shelf life: 24 months in sealed packaging. The MSDS identifies possible mild eye and respiratory irritation from the powder; avoid dust inhalation and eye contact and use appropriate protection.

Frequently asked questions
Is Salecan yeast or oat beta-glucan?
No. CG90-INT is an extracellular glucan produced by ZX09 fermentation. Findings for other beta-glucans should not automatically be applied to Salecan.
Does 100% water solubility mean 100% purity?
No. The TDS analytical specification is ≥90% beta-glucan on a dry basis. Water solubility and the MSDS ingredient declaration are different from analytical purity.
How is batch quality confirmed?
Request the batch COA and agree the required specifications and quality checks with iTra before supply.
