About iTra

iTra Biotech Supply LLC

Built around your formulation

iTra Biotech Supply LLC supports cosmetic brands and manufacturers with ingredient selection, technical sourcing, quality coordination and application support. We connect synthesis, fermentation and analytical resources in China with the formulation needs of international customers.

Projects begin with the ingredient, application, specification and evaluation conditions. We coordinate samples, technical requirements and supply through multiple sourcing channels.

San Jose customer support and Chongqing laboratory

Our San Jose, California office supports customers in Europe and the Americas, coordinates samples and in-person presentations, and provides aftersales support. Our own Chongqing laboratory performs batch-to-batch quality checks for every shipment, using HPLC, UV-Vis, GC and other characterization according to the ingredient and agreed method.

Founder and technical collaboration network

Founder Chengxi Zhao, Ph.D., holds a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from UIUC. Her analytical approach informs ingredient selection and evaluation.

Our 2026 corporate brochure describes a partner network with more than 10 Ph.D.-level technical contributors and manufacturing resources spanning more than 70,000 m². These figures refer to the collaboration network; they do not describe an iTra employee count or an iTra-owned factory. Capabilities are selected and confirmed for each ingredient and project.

From requirements to validation

  1. Define the ingredient, application, destination and specifications.
  2. Select supply sources and coordinate samples.
  3. Agree compatibility, processing and evaluation criteria.
  4. Review results and document the accepted specification.
  5. Coordinate delivery, batch documentation and ongoing support.

GMP manufacturing options, ISO-certified facilities and Halal, REACH or other documentation depend on the product, site and target market. Request the applicable documents before confirming an order.

Custom development: glabridin inclusion

iTra develops ingredient solutions around customer requirements. One glabridin project combines cyclodextrin inclusion and spray drying to address water-phase dispersion and precipitation challenges.

The brochure example uses an inclusion powder containing 15% glabridin. This is a customer development case, not a universal specification or a performance guarantee for every formula. Custom development and supply can be evaluated against the required active content, formulation and process.

  • Define active loading and dosage conversion.
  • Evaluate redissolution time, clarity and precipitation.
  • Check compatibility with pH, salts and ingredient blends.
  • Agree assay, appearance and stability testing.
  • Use customer-approved samples and specifications as the reference for subsequent deliveries.

Technical feasibility and acceptance criteria are confirmed for each project. Brochure illustrations are conceptual, not actual product photographs.
