Cosmetic ingredient sourcing and batch verification
Tranexamic Acid (TXA) Sourcing and Batch Quality Control
iTra supplies this ingredient through its sourcing network. Every order undergoes batch-to-batch quality checks at our Chongqing laboratory before shipment. Our San Jose office coordinates inquiries, samples, in-person presentations and after-sales support for customers in Europe and the Americas.
TDS, MSDS and COA are available on request for all our ingredients. Sales specifications and lead times are confirmed for each order. Contact us about the applicable quality checks, samples and minimum order quantity.
Tranexamic Acid (TXA): sourcing and formulation support
iTra Biotech Supply LLC supplies Tranexamic Acid to cosmetic brands, manufacturers and distributors through its sourcing network in China. This synthetic lysine derivative can be evaluated in brightening, tone-evening and visible dark-spot care systems.
We connect source selection with project specifications, batch-to-batch quality checks and international support from San Jose. TDS, SDS/MSDS, COA and samples are available on request.

Brightening and tone-evening applications
Evaluate in serums, essences, toners, gels, lotions, creams, masks and targeted spot-care products. Development concepts include uneven tone, visible dark spots and the appearance of sun-related pigmentation. After complete dissolution and compatibility verification, TXA can be evaluated in transparent aqueous formulas.
Cell-culture research suggests that TXA can influence communication between keratinocytes and melanocytes through the plasminogen/plasmin system. This is a research rationale, not proof of finished-product performance. Original study by Maeda and Tomita, 2007.
Combining TXA with arbutin and glabridin
TXA can be evaluated alongside arbutin, glabridin and other actives in multi-ingredient brightening concepts. iTra also supplies these complementary ingredients and can provide recommendations on selection, specifications, dissolution, incorporation and evaluation priorities.
The appropriate combination depends on active content, pH, salts, processing and the rest of the formula. Compatibility or synergy is not assumed for every system. For glabridin with challenging water-phase applications, iTra can evaluate inclusion and spray drying as customer-specific development.
Suggested use level and incorporation
- TDS guidance: typically 0.5–3.0% in leave-on cosmetic formulations. Confirm the use level and requirements for the actual formula and target market.
- Pre-dissolve in purified water. Incorporate into the aqueous or cool-down phase after complete dissolution.
- Suggested finished-product pH: approximately 5.0–7.5. This differs from the raw-material test pH of 7.0–8.0 in a 5% aqueous solution.
- Evaluate clarity, precipitation, compatibility and stability in the actual formula; avoid strong oxidizing agents and strong bases.
Storage and handling
Store in original tightly sealed packaging in a cool, dry and ventilated place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat. Suggested shelf life: 24 months in original sealed packaging under recommended conditions. Keep separate from strong oxidizers and bases.
The SDS identifies skin, eye and respiratory irritation hazards from the powder. Avoid dust inhalation and use appropriate protection. Request the current SDS for handling and transport requirements applicable to your supply.
Samples, documentation and supply
Commercial specifications, packaging, minimum order quantity and lead times are confirmed for each order. Our Chongqing laboratory supports batch-to-batch quality checks for every shipment; the San Jose office coordinates international customer communication, samples and aftersales support. Required tests and documents are agreed for the specific ingredient and destination.
Frequently asked questions
Is iTra the TXA manufacturer?
iTra is a supplier with sourcing channels in China and its own quality-control laboratory. We coordinate the applicable source and documentation for each order; partner manufacturing resources are not presented as an iTra-owned factory.
Are assay and HPLC purity the same result?
No. Assay is specified as 99.0–101.0% on a dried basis by titration or a validated assay; HPLC purity is ≥99.0%. Compare suppliers using equivalent methods and reporting bases.
Can TXA be combined with arbutin or glabridin?
Combinations can be evaluated for the actual project. iTra supplies ingredients and formulation recommendations; the finished formula needs its own compatibility, stability and efficacy evaluation.
How do I request a sample?
Share the application, specification, quantity, destination and required documentation. Our team will confirm sampling and supply arrangements.
